Thanksgiving was.

Trendy slow shutters still make me happy.

Saw a hawk so I took a picture. His name is Henry.

Thanksgiving was boring as normal because I worked all day. But My work provides great lunch and dinner on Holidays so its nice. All without having to deal with family.

BlackFriday was today and I was going to get up super early and stand in line for a new TV. I found it online last night for the same price and free shipping. BAM. No lines. So I was happy.

Hope to shoot some more tomorrow as I have the day off. See everyone later.

Peace.

Busybusybusy.

Found a cool mission. Don't know how to get to it but I am gunna try and find the road.

Driving home from work. I was pretty far out.

Cool cactus I found.

Sorry for the lack of posting. I have been extremely busy with work and school. As well as figuring out classes for next semester...how that crept up so fast I have no idea.

Apologies.

Hump Day.

Gym key. Pool key. Mailbox key. I love cacti.

Work today was just as boring as the normal day. I really wanted to go thrifting but my limited funds and savings powers have taken over. It sucks.

Stopped by my parents house to get some of my old mail. I hate having to go over there. But if I didn't my mom would self destruct from depression.

Work early in the AM so I am staying in tonight. Went out for my friends Birthday last night and got home this morning. It was crazy. But fun.

Night.

Peace you guys.

Thrifting

D-Scan chair I got for 5 dollars at SA during the half off furniture day.

My John Novy pottery. 2.50 dollars.

I have started a collection of John Novy pottery because he is a San Diego based ceramic artist and his stuff is awesome. When I got my first piece it wasn't that great of a deal but when I saw this little pot at a local run thrift store, behind the counter, I had to get a closer look. Asked the lady if I could see it while asking how much. She said $2.50...then I saw the John Novy on the bottom of the piece...I was sold.

I love when random thing like this happens and it makes me excited to keep on thrifting and searching.

Voting Day.

I hate these signs. Taken in the ghetto last night while trying to find food.

Hope everyone voted.
I know I did not.

Anyways. Yesterday was spent working and going to school. I love my Tuesday night class, History of Photography. Not only is it interesting but my teacher is an awesome man. Definitely aced my test I took to.

Work was the usual bore and made me think that in a years time I want to be working in  an office type environment. I am tired of the ________ and the _________ for this and that. Sorry for the blanks I just don't want you to know my professions currently. My dream of one day being in Real Estate development is so close I can taste it. I just want to intern and learn everything I can about everything.

Day Dreaming aside.

I took some pictures of my room today including my new Teak bookcase/media tower. It is solid teak construction and goes great with my teak Domino Couch I have sitting next to it. the picture displays more my pillow collection then the bookcase but I liked this picture better.

Pillow 5 dollars. Couch 275 dollars. Teak bookcase/media center 60 dollars.

I love my teak.
I hope to fill the bookcase with design and architecture book I collect over the next year. As well as some interesting items I find thrifting. Maybe also some of my Ceramics I make. Yes I make ceramics. More on that down the road.

Well I will leave you with that.

Day of Dreaming.

The look from atop a hill Apartmentwenty is next to.

Today was an awesome day. With no truck, I let Tim take it to work because his car broke down, I was left with the two sticks God gave me called legs.

I decided to venture out to some areas I haven't frequented in a long time. I am not sure what the mountain or hill is called but I truly love the area. Its filled with winding roads and old house. Some of the houses are dilapidated and run down, they are just asking for a remodel and a white paint job. But that's is me dreaming.

The little dog who thought he was a Giant.

Walking around in what was amazing California Winter weather I realized that this, this very place is where I wanted my first house to be. The area is just right in a new buyers price range. The houses are situated off the road a bit and on larger lots. The house are all from the 1950s or 1960s, unless they were knocked down for new tan stucco piles.

My plan is in four years to buy my first house. I am determined to reach my goal at all costs. I just want a place of my own two stretch my design and creative talents to the brink and back. I would like a steel building to home build barn type building as a work shop. I am interested in wood working and lamp making, as well as my normal painting and photography.

You can see why I titled it "Day of Dreaming"
That should be the theme of my life really because its all I do. One day it will be reality.

Enjoy.

Holloween.

Pumpkin patch. Lets just say I didn't buy one.

Well today is Halloween and i have to say that I do not really like Halloween. Never have and don't think i ever will.

Yes getting candy is awesome as a kid but once you grow older I feel I would rather just buy a bag of candy then have to deal with the institution they call costumes. I never dress up. Ever. Not for themed parties, never. So when this holiday comes around I just hate it. Every other second its "Oh what are you being for Halloween...um lets see...a 21 year old college student/work aholic?

Wow.

Just now as I was writing this blog a kid just opened my door to Apartmentwenty. I herd the knock but didn't answer due to no money for candy this year. He takes it upon himself to see if any ones home when no one answered his "Trick or Treat", which was pitiful mind you.

I replied "WOW!" in which he responds by slamming the door and running with his friends down my stairs.

The nerve of the children of today. What happened to a little thing called boundaries.

With that I will end for the day.
I have tomorrow off to I am going to go photograph some of the scenes around the local mountains.

Till tomorrow blog buddies.

PS. Apologies for not blogging yesterday. It was a long harsh day for Mr. Ryan.

Estate sale and work...aka My Life.

I try and get my mom fresh flowers every week. This week...Sunflowers.

So today was a normal mundane day. I wish something special or spectacular happened, but no.

I woke up extra early to head over to an estate sale I previewed on Craigslist. In the pictures I saw a George Nelson style desk set up, lets just say I wanted it. Figured it being Thursday it would be an empty house...not so much. I show up when it starts and it was already packed with people walking out with oodles of things.

Wtf?

Guess I am to new at the whole Estate Sale game. Anyways I walked through and it wasn't that great. Nothing grabbed my eye or made me wanna throw shekels its way. Then I got to my prized item...$600.

Damn it.

Well better luck next time. I left empty handed and was proud of myself.

After that I headed home but not before I stopped at Roses Donuts for a couple donuts. Got Tim a few because he was feeling sick and I thought those would fix it. They did.

Then went off to work at my hell hole job I am so thankful to have. Have tomorrow morning off which is a relaxing thought. Ill probably hit up some thrifting and then have work later.

Peace.
